What is Profhilo Structura?
From IBSA Derma, the company behind the innovative Profhilo, comes Profhilo Structura. Using the same patented NAHYCO thermal technology, this is a highly concentrated Hyaluronic Acid product that is specifically licensed to restore the superficial facial fat pads through bioremodelling.
As we age, we lose fat in our face and it becomes repositioned downwards. This process leads to hollowness and a “sinking” appearance and a sagging “drooping” of our lower face with jowls and a loss of contour. Structura counteracts this ageing process through a regenerative treatment to lift and revitalise the cheeks and lower face whilst also improving skin texture through the stimulation of collagen and elastin.

What is the downtime?
Very minimal. There is one entry point for the cannula on each side of the face in the cheek area. The product is minimally visible after the procedure and most normal activities can be carried out immediately afterwards.
How many treatments would I need?
The usual protocol is two treatments, 4 weeks apart. A review is undertaken at 4 months with a further treatment advised if necessary.
How long does it take?
The procedure is remarkably quick and usually takes around 30-40 minutes.
When will I see a difference?
As Structura is a regenerative process, the maximal effect builds up overtime. Results develop gradually but we would expect a benefit to be seen within 4-6 weeks with a maximal effect about 4 months after the second treatment.
Is it painful?
Discomfort is minimal as we use a blunt tipped cannula. Numbing cream can be applied to the insertion site on request.
Can it be combined with other aesthetics products?
Absolutely yes. Many people combine it with both Profhilo and other regenerative treatments, Dermal fillers and Botulinum Toxin.
