What is a Professional Chemical Peel?

It’s a solution that is applied to the skin to remove dead skin cells and stimulate the growth of new cells.

Why do we use them?

As we age, cell regeneration slows down and skin can lose elasticity, become unevenly pigmented and appear wrinkled. Chemical peels increase cell turnover and improve the skin’s health and appearance.

How deep are they?

Chemical peels are divided into three categories depending on the wound created by the peel: Superficial peels penetrate the epidermis only Medium depth peels penetrate the entire epidermis and papillary dermis Deep peels can penetrate to the level of the reticular dermis PCA® Professional Peels are Superficial depth.

Will I actually “peel”? What side effects are there?

Not necessarily! You don’t have to Peel with a Peel! You may only experience mild redness, sensitivity, dryness and flaking /shedding.

PCA use a PROGRESSIVE rather than an AGGRESSIVE approach. This is advantageous as patients have minimal downtime yet obtain the exfoliating and regenerative benefits of the treatment.

PCA® Peels nourish, strengthen and protect the skin by flooding the epidermis with targeted beneficial actives during treatment and regular peels enhance the absorption and efficacy of daily homecare skin products and actives.
